First, Which Option Is Right for You?

You don't need to know exactly what you need before contacting us. That's what we're here for.

White Label

The easiest way to launch products under your own brand.

Choose an existing MamaSuds product and sell it with your own branding and label. You can use our standard packaging or, with approval, provide your own bottles, caps, labels, or other packaging components.

There are no changes to the MamaSuds formula or normal production process.

Minimum: 24 units per SKU

Best for: Businesses that want an established MamaSuds product under their own brand without developing or modifying a product.

Private Label

Need something that we don't currently offer as a standard White Label product?

Private Label allows us to make an existing MamaSuds product specifically for your brand. This may include a different scent, size, packaging configuration, or other variation that requires a special production run.

Private Label does not necessarily mean developing an entirely new formula. If what you're requesting requires formulation or product development work, your project may move into Custom or Semi-Custom Formulation.

Minimum: 96 units per SKU

Some products may require a higher minimum based on our production batch size, packaging requirements, or raw material minimums. If a full production batch exceeds 96 units, the full batch becomes the minimum.

Best for: Businesses that love what MamaSuds makes but need a version or configuration that isn't part of our normal White Label offering.

Custom + Contract Manufacturing

Have your own formula or want to create something completely new?

Already have a formula? We may be able to manufacture and fill it for you.

Have an idea but don't have a finished formula yet? We can work with you to develop a product that meets our ingredient and manufacturing standards.

Production minimums for Custom and Contract Manufacturing depend on the product and are generally based on a full production batch.

Best for: Brands with their own formula or businesses looking to create something beyond the existing MamaSuds product line.

Start by contacting us and telling us a little about your business, the products you're interested in, and what you have in mind.

Don't worry if you don't have all the answers yet.

2. We'll Figure Out the Best Path

We'll review your project and help determine whether White Label, Private Label, Contract Manufacturing, or Custom Formulation makes the most sense for what you're trying to accomplish.

3. We'll Work Out the Details

Once we know what you're creating, we'll work through the details together, including:

You'll know what you're responsible for providing and what MamaSuds will handle before we move forward.

4. Get Everything Production-Ready

Before manufacturing begins, all required labels, packaging, components, payments, and approvals must be completed and received at our Michigan facility.

Please do not purchase large quantities of packaging or have labels printed before we have approved them for your project.

5. We Make Your Products

Once everything is approved and ready to go, your project moves into production.

Our team manufactures, fills, labels, and prepares your products according to the specifications of your project.

6. Your Products Are Ready!

Once production is complete, your finished products are ready to sell under your brand.

Minimums + Pricing

Minimum Order

All White Label and Private Label projects require a minimum total order of $250.

Individual product minimums also apply.

White Label

Minimum: 24 units per SKU

White Label uses an existing MamaSuds product with no changes to the formula or standard production process.

Exact pricing varies by product and quantity. Many of our White Label products can be purchased directly through our White Label collection.

Your labels must be submitted to and approved by MamaSuds before production.

A 60% deposit of the total project cost is required before manufacturing begins.

Private Label

Minimum: 96 units per SKU

If the production batch, packaging, ingredient, or other project requirement creates a higher minimum, that quantity becomes the MOQ for that product.

Because Private Label products require a special production run, pricing is quoted based on the specific project.

Private Label projects must be paid in full before manufacturing begins.

Custom + Semi-Custom Formulation

Need us to help create or modify a formula?

Formulation work is $150 per hour, plus the cost of supplies.

Because every project is different, the total development cost depends on the complexity of the formula, the number of formulations or trials needed, supplies required, and overall development time.

Custom and Semi-Custom Formulation work is billed weekly and must be paid in full.

Custom Formulation: We work with you to develop a new formula based on your product goals and requirements.

Semi-Custom Formulation: We make agreed-upon changes to a formula or product that require actual formulation work rather than a standard production variation.

If you have an existing product that represents what you're hoping to create, we may ask you to send us a sample.

Specialty ingredients that we don't normally stock can either be sourced by MamaSuds and included in your cost of goods or supplied by you with the appropriate documentation and MamaSuds approval.

Please note: We only manufacture with ingredients that meet our ingredient standards. We will not manufacture with ingredients that don't meet those standards, including synthetic fragrance.

What Happens to a Custom Formula?

Custom and Semi-Custom formulations and their manufacturing methodology remain the property of MamaSuds and are licensed to the client.

An NDA will be signed to protect the confidentiality of your project.

Once we've agreed on a final formula, we'll provide a quote to move the product into production at our facility.

You'll also have the option to purchase the formula and its related methodology.

Labels

Yes, we apply your labels for you.

Your finished label artwork must be submitted to and approved by MamaSuds before labels are printed or production begins.

If you provide finished, approved labels to us, there is no additional label application fee added to your cost of goods.

We strongly recommend allowing us to review your label before you order a full print run. Labeling requirements can vary depending on the product and how it will be marketed.

Let's Talk Packaging

Depending on your project, you may use our standard packaging or provide packaging specifically for your brand.

Supply Your Own Packaging

You can purchase and ship approved bottles, caps, jars, labels, or other packaging components directly to our Michigan facility.

There is no sourcing fee when you supply your own approved packaging.

Have MamaSuds Source Packaging

We can source approved packaging on your behalf for an additional 12% sourcing fee.

Before we can provide an accurate production quote for custom packaging, we'll need to discuss and approve the packaging and may require a sample.

We can work with many different packaging materials and styles, although certain packaging may require additional handling or shipping charges.

Important: All required packaging and components must be physically at our facility before manufacturing can begin.

Your production lead time begins only after everything required for the project has been received and approved.

How Long Does It Take?

Once your project is completely production-ready, estimated lead times are:

White Label: 2–6 weeks
Private Label: 4–6 weeks
Contract Manufacturing: Varies depending on the project

Actual lead time depends on the size and scope of your order and our production schedule.

Your project is considered production-ready only after we have received and approved everything required to manufacture it, including payment, packaging, labels, boxes, ingredients or specialty components, if applicable.

A Note About Minimums

Our minimums are designed to make small-batch manufacturing accessible to growing businesses while still allowing us to manufacture efficiently.

However, some projects naturally require larger quantities.

Your MOQ may increase when:

A full production batch produces more than the standard minimum
Specialty ingredients have supplier minimums
Packaging has manufacturer or distributor minimums
Your project requires a special size, scent, configuration, or production setup
Other components must be purchased specifically for your project

We'll let you know about any higher minimums before you commit to production.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your minimum order?

For White Label, the minimum is generally 24 units per SKU.

For Private Label, the minimum is generally 96 units per SKU.

Custom and Contract Manufacturing minimums are based on the product and production batch requirements.

All White Label and Private Label projects also require a $250 minimum total order.

Minimums may be higher when production batch sizes, raw materials, packaging, or other components require larger quantities.

Do you apply the labels?

Yes.

We apply finished, approved customer-supplied labels to the products we manufacture and fill.

There is no additional label application fee when you provide your finished approved labels.

Do I need to know whether I need White Label, Private Label, or Contract Manufacturing before contacting you?

No.

Tell us what you're trying to create and what you already have, and we'll help determine which option makes the most sense.

Do I need to have my labels finished before contacting you?

No, and we'd actually prefer that you don't.

All labels must ultimately be approved by MamaSuds before production begins.

Can I use my own packaging?

Yes.

You may supply approved packaging for many projects and have it shipped directly to our facility.

Using your own packaging does not automatically make your project Private Label. If you're simply putting an existing MamaSuds product into approved packaging you supply, that can still be a White Label project.

Can MamaSuds source my packaging?

Yes.

We can source approved packaging on your behalf for an additional 12% sourcing fee.

Can I change the scent of a MamaSuds product?

Possibly.

If you want a scent or variation that we don't normally manufacture for that product, it would generally be considered Private Label and require a minimum of 96 units per SKU.

We'll review the request first to make sure it meets our ingredient and manufacturing standards.

Can I provide my own ingredients?

Specialty ingredients may be supplied by you as long as they include appropriate documentation and are approved by MamaSuds.

We will not manufacture with ingredients that don't meet our ingredient standards, including synthetic fragrance.

Can you recreate a product I already like?

If you have an example of the type of product you're hoping to create, you can send us a sample.

It gives us a much better understanding of what you're looking for and can be helpful during the formulation process.

Who owns a formula MamaSuds develops for me?

Custom and Semi-Custom formulations and their manufacturing methodology remain the property of MamaSuds and are licensed to you for use.

We'll sign an NDA to protect the confidentiality of your project.

Once your formula is finalized, you'll also have the option to purchase the formula and its related methodology.

Where will my products be made?
