Choose from existing MamaSuds formulas, use our standard packaging, and sell the finished product with your own branding and label.

Best for: Businesses that want to launch their own branded products without developing a formula or sourcing packaging.

Private Label

Our formula. Your packaging. Your brand.

Choose from an existing MamaSuds formula, but use packaging selected specifically for your brand.

Best for: Businesses that want the ease of using an established formula with more control over the finished look and packaging.

Custom + Contract Manufacturing

Have your own formula or want to create something new?

Already have a formula? We can manufacture it for you. Have an idea but don't have a finished formula yet? We can work with you to develop something new that meets our ingredient and manufacturing standards.

Here’s How It Works

Never created a product under your own brand before? We’ll walk you through it.

1. Tell Us What You Want to Create

Start by emailing us and telling us a little about your business, the product you’re interested in, and what you have in mind.

Don’t worry if you don’t have all the answers yet. That’s okay.

2. We’ll Figure Out the Best Path

We’ll review your project and help determine whether white label, private label, contract manufacturing, or custom formulation makes the most sense for what you’re trying to accomplish.

3. We’ll Work Out the Details

Once we know what you’re creating, we’ll work through the details together, including quantities, pricing, packaging, labels, and any other components your project requires.

You’ll know what you’re responsible for providing and what MamaSuds will handle before we move forward.

4. Get Everything Production-Ready

Before manufacturing begins, all required labels, packaging, components, and approvals need to be completed and received at our Michigan facility.

We’ll make sure you know exactly what we need from you so there aren’t any surprises.

5. We Make Your Products

Once everything is approved and ready to go, your project moves into production.

Our team manufactures, fills, and prepares your products according to the specifications of your project.

6. Your Products Are Ready!

Once production is complete, your finished products are ready to make their debut under your brand.

Minimums + Pricing

We know manufacturing can feel a little overwhelming when you're doing it for the first time. Here's what to expect when it comes to fees and payment.

White Label

Using one of our existing formulas and our standard packaging?

Your labels must be submitted to and approved by MamaSuds before production.

A 60% deposit of the total project cost is required before manufacturing begins.

Private Label

Using one of our existing formulas with packaging you've selected for your brand?

Your labels must be submitted to and approved by MamaSuds before production. If you provide your finished, approved labels to us, there is no additional labeling fee added to your cost of goods.

Private label filling projects must be paid in full before manufacturing begins.

Custom + Semi-Custom Formulation

Need us to help create or modify a formula?

Formulation work is $150 per hour, plus the cost of supplies. Because every project is different, the total cost depends on the complexity of the formula, number of formulations or trials needed, supplies required, and overall development time.

Custom and semi-custom formulation work is billed weekly and must be paid in full.

Custom Formulation: We work with you to develop a new formula based on your product goals and requirements.

Semi-Custom Formulation: We make smaller changes to an existing formula you provide, such as changes to an emulsifying or preservative system.

If you have an existing product that represents what you're hoping to create, we may ask you to send us a sample.

Specialty ingredients that we don't normally stock can either be sourced by MamaSuds and included in your cost of goods, or supplied by you with the appropriate documentation and MamaSuds approval.

Please note: We only manufacture with ingredients that meet our ingredient standards. We will not work with ingredients that don't meet those standards, including synthetic fragrance.

What Happens to a Custom Formula?

Custom and semi-custom formulations and their manufacturing methodology remain the property of MamaSuds and are licensed to the client. An NDA will be signed to protect the confidentiality of your project.

Once we've agreed on a final formula, we'll provide a quote to move the product into production at our facility.

You'll also have the option to purchase the formula and its related methodology.

Let's Talk Packaging

For private label projects, you have two options:

Supply your own packaging: You can purchase and ship your approved packaging directly to our Michigan facility at no additional sourcing fee.

Have MamaSuds source it for you: We can source your approved packaging on your behalf for an additional 12% sourcing fee.

Before we can provide an accurate production quote, we'll need to discuss and approve your packaging and receive a sample.

We can work with many different packaging materials and styles, although certain packaging may require additional handling or shipping charges.

Important: All packaging must be physically at our facility before manufacturing can begin. Your production lead time begins after we have received the components required for your project.

How Long Does It Take?

Once your project is production-ready, estimated lead times are:

White Label: 2–6 weeks

Private Label: 4–6 weeks

Contract Manufacturing: Varies depending on the project

Your actual timeline depends on the size and scope of your order and when all required components arrive at our facility.

That includes things like packaging, approved labels, boxes, and any other components required for your finished product.

Your production timeline begins once everything we need to manufacture your order has been received and approved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know whether I need White Label, Private Label, or Contract Manufacturing before contacting you?

No. Tell us what you're trying to create and what you already have, and we'll help you determine which option makes the most sense.

Do I need to have my labels finished before contacting you?

No. We recommend contacting us first. All labels must ultimately be approved by MamaSuds before production begins.

Can I use my own packaging?

Yes. For private label projects, you can supply approved packaging and have it shipped directly to our facility.

Can MamaSuds source my packaging?

Yes. We can source approved packaging on your behalf for an additional 12% sourcing fee.

Can I provide my own ingredients?

Specialty ingredients may be supplied by you as long as they include the appropriate documentation and are approved by MamaSuds.

Can you recreate a product I already like?
